We’re headed back to the Rocky Boy Reservation in Montana to continue building on the relationships that we made as part of our amazing service experience last year!
Click here to view the presentation from the Information Session held on November 16, 2025.
Dates: June 20-27, 2026
Location: St. Mary Catholic Church on the Rocky Boy Reservation in Montana. This church has been serving the people of the Chippewa Cree tribe for over 40 years. In 2019 it experienced a devastating fire that burned the entire church to the ground. Then the pandemic hit in 2020. Finally in 2022, the parish was able to rebuild its church building. Today it continues to work on rebuilding the fellowship and connection of those on the tribe through the church. Visit the St. Mary website to learn more about the church’s history.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why did you choose this location again? St. Hubert had an amazing experience serving at the Rocky Boy Reservation in 2025. This site offers us a variety of service project opportunities, a more flexible schedule and opportunities for fellowship & community-building, cultural immersion with the Native American people on the reservation, plenty of spaces to pray & play. In addition, we built nice relationships with those on the reservation whom we served and want to continue to build on that.
How many spots for youth? We only have 40 spots available on the bus for teens. Priority registration is given to parish youth, and then after the registration deadline, if there are spots, we will open it up to non-parish youth and 8th graders.
Where will we be staying? St. Mary Catholic Church on the Rocky Boy reservation is our host parish during our service days. Participants bring air mattresses to sleep on in the parish classrooms and Hall. The youth also get a chance to sleep in a teepee onsite as part of the cultural opportunities.
What kinds of service projects will we do? We are working with St. Mary to identify needs and projects. It will vary from painting/renovating homes, yardwork, Vacation Bible School. This year we are also looking for more opportunities that are tied to the corporal works of mercy. such as feeding the hungry and visiting the sick.
Is there a cell phone policy for the trip? We encourage and challenge our teens to leave their devices at home so that they can be fully present and engaged in the activities of the trip. However, for safety purposes, teens may bring their phones and use them on the bus rides to and from Montana. Once we arrive, teens must put their phones away and fully disconnect. If phones are seen out during any activity time (including free time), it will be taken and held on to by our parish team.
Where will we be going on the sightseeing portion of the trip? We are currently researching our options and want to keep it affordable and easy on travel for the group. More details will be shared at the kick-off after registration closes.
How is a Mission Trip different than our other trips for teens (i.e., Steubenville Conferences, Winter Faith Camp, Extreme Faith Camp)? First and foremost, our mission trips are an opportunity to step outside of our comfort zones to grow in relationship with Jesus and the world. Youth will be challenged and asked to make significant sacrifices, such as giving up personal luxuries, donating their time and energy for preparation and service. They will also face personal sacrifices like leaving their comfort zone, sacrificing control over their schedules and environment, and to serve and adapt to new circumstances.
Why are the preparation meetings before the trip mandatory? These meeting times are important for our preparation. As we only have 4 days of service, we want to be able to hit the ground running and complete the projects we started in the time we have there. Our pre-trip meetings give us the opportunities to build up our connections among the youth attending and offer us the time to prepare mentally and logistically for the work that we will be doing. Also, it sets us up for success because all the teens who are going will be on the same page with all the expectations and insights needed to be fully engaged during the trip. Praying together for the trip and the people we are being called to serve will also be a part of our pre-trip activities. We want all the youth there to unite around these prayer intentions.
