What is Extreme Faith Camp?
Extreme Faith Camp (EFC) is a premier high-adventure camp packed with incredible activities: high ropes, laser tag, zip lines, climbing walls, and more! Led by parishes from the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, Extreme Faith Camp guarantees that summer camp is not just a mountaintop faith experience but one that builds lifelong foundations of faith. Our faith programming is rooted in the sacramental life of the Catholic Church, and our mission is anything but boring. This summer, Extreme Faith Camp will be held at Trinity Woods Camp and Retreat Center in Trego, Wisconsin.
When is EFC? What grades are allowed to attend?
EFC is happening July 21-25, 2025, at Trinity Woods Camp and Retreat Center in Trego, Wisconsin. Camp registration is reserved for St. Hubert parishioners in grades six through eight during Fall 2024. Members of our high school Legacy Team will be at camp serving as small group leaders. Because EFC is planned with our overall youth ministry program in mind, we highly recommend participating in St. Hubert's youth ministry events if you sign up for camp. This will help you get to know your camp community in the months ahead!
If you belong to a parish other than St. Hubert, please check with your parish's youth minister or director of religious education to see if your parish participates in EFC.
What makes EFC so special?
While a week away from home with fun activities is great, other camps offer just that. What sets EFC apart is our focus on providing opportunities for campers to know who God is and to guide them in forming a personal relationship with Him. We achieve this through reflections, dedicated prayer time, and talks focused on the theme "Devoted" (Acts 2:42). Most importantly, we enrich their lives with the sacraments: campers attend Mass every day, have multiple opportunities to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and spend time in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. All combined, we ensure that EFC is unlike any other camp your child will attend this summer!
How much does EFC cost? What is the refund policy?
The cost for EFC is approximately $550. This price covers meals during the week, lodging, transportation, camp t-shirt, and materials needed for the week. As of October 30, we have yet to confirm the price of bus transportation to and from camp. We will update families once we have the final cost.
Outside of the deposit, any additional payments are eligible for a refund up to May 31. After that date, our costs are committed, and we can no longer provide refunds. Refunds due to illness, injury, or other unforeseen circumstances will be accepted only if we can find another camper to fill your spot. All cancellations and refunds must be submitted via email. Fundraising opportunities are being explored to make camp as affordable as possible for our participants.
How do we sign up for camp?
This year, we will introduce pre-registration for Extreme Faith Camp. The purpose of pre-registration is to assist first-time eighth graders in attending EFC, given that eighth grade is the last year of camper eligibility. We have approximately 55 spots for middle school campers.
Priority will be given as follows:
First-time eighth grade campers
Repeat eighth graders
First-time seventh graders
Repeat seventh graders
First-time sixth graders
Extra consideration will be given to participants whose parents are willing to serve as chaperones for our week of camp; as well as any camper who has a sibling eligible for camp.
Pre-registration is not a guarantee of getting a spot for Extreme Faith Camp; it is a way to get your child’s name on a list for consideration. If we have more pre-registrations than available spots, your child may be placed on a waitlist. People may decline admission, drop out, or more spots may become available for St. Hubert, which could promote your child’s name from the waitlist. Please keep in mind that the waitlist may run until May 31.
All pre-registrations must include a $100 deposit. If your child is not admitted to EFC, your deposit will be refunded.
Pre-registration will be open until Friday, December 6. You will receive an email the week of December 9-13 regarding your participation status for camp.
What if all the spots fill up?
If our camp spots fill up and you complete pre-registration, you will be placed on a waitlist. If you are next in the queue and a spot becomes available, you will have one week to claim it. After that, the vacant spot will be offered to the next person on the list.
Who will be leading the activities at camp? What activities are offered?
All high-adventure activities will be run by Trinity Woods staff. The talks and daily teachings will be conducted by youth ministers or adult leaders from our parishes. Small group sessions will be led by our high school leaders and supervised by an adult leader.
Activities include zip lining, archery tag, waterfront activities, swimming, climbing wall, crafts/games, and service rotation. Some of these activities may change from summer to summer.
What if I have a high schooler interested in Extreme Faith Camp?
While we would love to offer a summer high school camp, we do not have that opportunity yet. However, we highly recommend participating in Winter Faith Camp—please contact Carley O’Bryan for more information about that event! We have limited spots for high school students to serve as Extreme Team and Prayer Team leaders. We reserve these leadership spots for teens who currently serve on our Legacy Team, and applications are required to be considered.
Does St. Hubert need help with camp?
Absolutely! The success of EFC relies on having enough volunteers. Here are some ways you can help:
Pray for our middle school campers, high school leaders, and adult volunteers that they may encounter the Lord in new and beautiful ways.
Consider volunteering to chaperone EFC. Chaperones can participate in all activities, build relationships with our middle schoolers, supervise a small group, and pray with the kids each day. The cost for chaperones to attend EFC is covered by St. Hubert!
Are you a registered nurse, doctor, or EMT? We need at least two health professionals for our week of camp. For information about stipends, please contact Elliut Fonseca.
Please consider donating toward scholarships for Extreme Faith Camp. Every bit helps allow more campers to encounter our Lord at camp! To donate to the Extreme Faith Camp Scholarship Fund, please contact Elliut Fonseca.
