Legacy Team: What is It?
Legacy Team is a group of high school teens who, through their personal relationship with Christ, actively participate in the parish by either planning and running Edge for middle school youth (or giving back in other ministries), inviting and walking with other teens at the high school discipleship team programs, and walking with one another as brothers and sisters in their discipleship of Jesus.
Legacy Team members have a love for Christ and strive to grow in their relationship with God through daily prayer, frequent the sacraments, and live authentically Catholic lives, pursuing virtue in their everyday lives. They commit to being a role model to their peers and younger teens, and have a desire and commitment to serve the parish on a weekly basis, either in youth ministry or in another ministry of the parish. Lastly, members have a dedication to grow in community with the other teammates on Legacy Team.

Other parish ministries (see ministries tab on the website)
Upperclassmen will also be asked to sign up for a Virtus training session if they have not yet attended one , shortly before they turn 18 years of age.
Before you apply…
Make sure you are in a Discipleship group (YDisciple qualifies!). Contact the youth minister if that is not the case.
Talk to your parents about the commitments. The time and personal commitment of Legacy Team is difficult and time consuming. Make sure that this commitment is something you can build your life around, not halfheartedly fit into your life.
PRAY! Make sure that you feel that Legacy Team is where you are called to be. If not, there are plenty of other ways to get involved and grow in your faith!
